Alexandros Apostolides

Ο Αλέξανδρος Αποστολίδης (1971, Αθήνα) ζεί και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα. Μεταξύ 1994-2000 φοίτησε στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών Αθηνών στο Α εργαστήριο γλυπτικής. Το 2000-2001 υπότροφος της Aggelco sa παρακολούθησε στο Central St Martins College of Αrt & Design του Λονδίνου, μεταπτυχιακό κύκλο σπουδών με αντικείμενο αρχιτεκτονικό γυαλί/σύνχρονες τεχνικές Vitraux. Υπότροφος του Ιδρύματος Αλέξανδρος Σ. Ωννάσης 2001-2 και του Ιδρύματος Κρατικών Υποτροφιών 2002 σπούδασε στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Wolverhampton, (West Midlands U.K), M.A τον δεύτερο μετεπτυχιακό κύκλο σπουδών με αντικείμενο το γυαλί και την γλυπτική. Το 2002 Βραβεύτηκε απο το Ίδρυμα Ιωάννη και Ζωής Σπυρόπουλου. Συμμετείχε σε Ομαδικές εκθέσεις και διεθνή εργαστήρια: Blind Date#12 Βοιομηχανικός χώρος Palco (2006,Αθηνα),Σκιάχτρο πινακοθήκη E. Alexandros Apostolides (1971,Athens) lives and works in Athens. Αντώνης Βολανάκης

Adonis Volanakis

Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1976 και έζησε στο Λονδίνο από το 1998 έως το 2004. Σπουδές: Romanos Academy of Arts- Diploma, Wimbledon School of Art- ΒA (Hons), Central Saint Martins College of Art- ΜΑ, School of Motion Picture ΤΑΙΚ - University of Art and Design of Helsinki. Είναι υποψήφιος διδάκτορας στο τμήμα ΕΜΜΕ του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Έχει λάβει βραβεία, υποτροφίες και έχει διακριθεί από: Βρετανική Ακαδημία (AHRB), A.G.Leventis Foundation, University of Surrey, Institute of London και από τα ιδρύματα: Ωνάσειο, Βαρδινογιάννειο, Προποντίς, Σπυρόπουλου και Γουλανδρή. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει περφόρμανς (7) μεταξύ άλλων I AM LI-eaVING στο Royal Opera House-Covent Garden. Έχει σχεδιάσει σκηνικούς χώρους, εγκαταστάσεις (26 παραγωγές) κοστούμια (37 παραγωγές) και έχει συνεργαστεί μεταξύ άλλων με το Εθνικό Θέατρο, την Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή κ.ά. Το 2000 συνεργάστηκε με το Στέφανο Λαζαρίδη στην Ιtalian Season, London Coliseum- English National Opera σε 7 παραγωγές. Συμμετοχή σε εκθέσεις: σε γκαλερί (4), σε θέατρα (3) και σε site-specific projects (6). Διδάσκει για τέταρτο έτος στη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών, Ναύπλιο, Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου και έχει διδάξει για δύο ακαδημαικά έτη στη Σχολή Ανθρωπιστικών και Κοινωνικών Επιστημών, Τμήμα Θεατρικών Σπουδών, Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών (2004-2006). Είναι στην ομάδα εργασίας για τα www.thelossproject.net και www.vsblt.com.

Was born in Athens, Greece in 1976, and has lived in London (1998-2004). He is now a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies- National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. Was awarded prizes, scholarships and sponsorships by: Αrts and Humanities Research Board (UK), University of Surrey (UK), Institute of London (UK), and the foundations: Spiropoulos (GR), Goulandris (GR), Vardinogiannis (GR), Propontis (GR), A.G.Leventis (UK), Linbury Biennial Prize 2003 (UK). He has directed performances (7), among other I AM LI-eaVING at the Royal Opera House-Covent Garden. He has designed sets and instalations (26 productions), costumes (37 productions) and among other he has collaborate with Greek National Opera, Greek National Theatre etc. In 2000 he collaborated with Stefanos Lazaridis in Ιtalian Season, London Coliseum- English National Opera in 7 productions. Participation in exhibitions:in galleries (4), theatres (3) and in site-specific projects (6). He is the curator of the interdisciplinary project and exhibition BLIND DATE#12. He lectures in the School of Fine Art, Peloponnesian University at Nafplio since 2004 and he has been teaching for two academic years in School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department Of Theatre Studies, University of Patras (2004-2006). He is member of the working group for www.thelossproject.net and www.vsblt.com.

Μαρία Κόντη

Maria Konti

Αθήνα 1971 Το 1999 αποφοίτησε από την Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών (Αθήνα, πτυχίο Ζωγραφικής με καθηγητή το Δ. Μυταρά). Το 2001 αποφοίτησε με Master of Fine Arts από το Central Saint Matins College (London) με υποτροφία του Ωνάσειου Ιδρύματος, και κληροδότημα Κεφαλληνού. Έπαινος από το Ίδρυμα Σπυρόπουλου. Διδάσκει στο IB Visual Arts Department της σχολής Μωραΐτη και στο αντίστοιχο τμήμα του σχολείου Νέα Γενιά Ζηρίδη.

Was born in Athens, 1971. In 1999 she graduated from the Fine Art School of Athens (painting, studio: D.Mitaras). In 2001 awarded the degree of Master of Fine Arts from Central Saint Matins College (London), with fellowship from the Public Benefit Foundation "Alexandros S. Onassis" and endowment from Kefallinos. Praise form the Spiropoulou Foundation. She is teaching in the IB Visual Arts Department of Moraiti School and in the respective department of New Generation Zeridi School.

Μαριάννα Νικολάου

Marianna Nikolaou

Γεννήθηκε και ζει στην Αθήνα, απο το 1997 εως το 2003 έζησε και εργάστηκε στο Λονδίνο. Σπούδασε Β.Α.(Hons) in Theatre στο Rose Bruford College και Μ.Α.: Visual Language of Performance του Wimbledon School of Art, University of Surrey, Λονδίνο. Έχει συνεργαστεί ως εικαστικός με τους σκηνοθέτες Karl Kelly, Martin Wylde, Emilio Romero κ.α. Το 2001 ηταν short-listed στο Linbury Biennale Prize for Stage Design του Λονδίνου. Στην Ελλάδα έχει συνεργαστεί με τον Αντώνη Βολανάκη και τον Φαιδων Μιχαηλίδη καθως και με τις ομάδες χορού 14η Μερα, σε χορογραφία Μαρίας Αγγέλου και την ομάδα Συνεργείο Τεχνών με χορογράφο τη Sylvia Macchi στα Φεστιβάλ Χορού του θεάτρου Ροές και στη Πλατφόρμα Σύγχρονου Χορού του Μεγάρου Μουσικής. Εχει δημιουργσει τις περφόρμανσς ‘etre-la’ στο W.S.A. Theatre, 2003 και ‘etre-la’ (vol. ii) στο φεστιβάλ Δια-ροές 2004 στην Αθήνα. Συμμετείχε στο Visibility - δημόσια δραση καλλητεχών και πανεπιστημιακών και εγκατάσταση στην γκαλερί Cheap Atr - με το εργο «How many hours have you worked today?».

Marianna Nikolaou was born in Athens, lived and worked in London from 1997 to 2003 where she obtained Bachelor of Arts (Hons) at Rose Bruford College and M.A.: Visual Language of Performance at Wimbledon School of Art, University of London. She has collaborated with the directors Karl Kelly, Martin Wylde and Emilio Romero and in 2001 was short-listed at the Linbury Biennial Prize for Stage Design in London. She has collaborated with Adonis Volanakis, Phaidon Michailidis, the 14th Day Dance Company (choreographer Maria Agelou), and the Synergeio Texnon Company (choreographer Sylvia Macchi) in productions for the Greek Dance Festival, Roes Theater and for the Platform of Contemporary Dance at the Megaron-Athens Concert Hall. She has created the performances ‘etre-la’ at the W.S.A. Theatre/2003 and ‘etre-la’ (vol.ii) at the festival of Dia-roes /2004 in Athens. She is a participant of Visibility –public act/performance of artists and academics and an exhibition/visibility installation at Cheap Art gallery – with the video “How many hours have you worked to day?”.

Ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα. Κωνσταντίνος Παπαδούκας

Constantinos Papadoukas

Ο Κωνσταντίνος Παπαδούκας γεννήθηκε το 1979. Το 1996 σπούδασε γλυπτική στο Loughborough University School of Art & Design της Αγγλίας –ΒΑ . Στη συνέχεια παρακολούθησε το Masters του στη γλυπτική στο Wimbledon School of Art όπου και εργάστηκε ως βοηθός στο τμήμα έρευνας. Υπήρξε βοηθός καθηγητών και δευτεροετών μαθητών στο Loughborough University School of Art & Design. Η διδασκαλική του εμπειρία συνεχίζεται και σήμερα. Ασχολείται επίσης με την διακόσμηση εσωτερικών – εξωτερικών χώρων, δείγματα δουλείας του είναι το ιντερνετ καφέ Gamers Arena και το κομμωτήριο East Side Studios. Γλυπτά του βρίσκονται στην Ιδιωτική συλλογή της Φ. Κυριακοπούλου, του A. Penrose στην Αγγλία, καθώς επίσης και σε δημόσιους χώρους, Lincoln School of Technology και Loughborough University School of Art. Μικρογλυπτά – κοσμήματα του υπάρχουν στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη καθώς επίσης και σε διάφορες gallery. Έχει πραγματοποιήσει μια ατομική έκθεση και έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλές ομαδικές, μεταξύ αυτών και στο project Visibility. Η πιο πρόσφατη δουλειά του εξελίσσεται γύρω από μια σειρά εννοιών που ξεπροβάλουν στην κοινωνία μας. Έννοιες όπως, παρακολούθηση, επιτήρηση, έλεγχος, κατηγοριοποίηση. Σκοπός των έργων του είναι η διερεύνηση της ευαισθητοποίησης του κοινού με τις παραπάνω έννοιες. Τα τελευταία έργα του σχολιάζουν την αποπροσωποίηση των ατόμων από την εκάστοτε ελέγχουσα αρχή.

Constantinos Papadoukas was born in Athens in 1979. In 1996 he studied sculpture in Britain at Loughborough University Scholl of Art & Design-BA. Following he attend Wimbledon school of art to complete his MA in Sculpture. There he worked as an assistant at the research department. While at Loughborough University School of Art & design he worked as a part time lecturer – teacher assistant. He has continued his teaching experience until today. Interior – exterior design is another area of focus for him. Samples of his work include internet café Gamers arena and hair salon East Side Studios. His work can be found in F. Kyriakopoulou and A. Penrose private collections as well in public spaces, such as, Lincoln School of Technology and Loughborough University School of Art. Jewelry constructions of his can be found at the Benaki museum as well as various galleries. He has shown his work in one solo exhibition and in numerous group shows. He also participated in the Visibility project. His most recent work revolves around notion currently emerging in our societies. Notions such as, surveillance, monitoring, control and categorization. His aim: to familiarize the audience to the above notions. The latest works comment on the de-characterization of humans via the controlling authority.

Αιμιλία Παπαφιλίππου

Aemilia Papaphilippou

Γεννήθηκε το 1961 στην Aσμάρα Ερυθραίας, Aνατολική Aφρική. Σπούδασε στην Α.Σ.Κ.Τ. Αθηνών (1980-1985, εργαστήριο Δ. Κοκκινίδη). Συνέχισε σε μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο τις σπουδές της στο New York University, Master of Arts, σε video art and mixed media (1987-1989), με υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση. Το 1988-1989 εργάσθηκε στο ίδιο πανεπιστήμιο, ασκώντας διδακτικά καθήκοντα, ως βοηθός του Peter Campus, με διδακτική υποτροφία του ιδρύματος. Τιμήθηκε με την υποτροφία του Κέντρου Έρευνας για την Τέχνη και την Επιστήμη, που έχει ιδρύσει ο γλύπτης Τάκης, το έτος 1990. Έχει στο ενεργητικό της οκτώ ατομικές εκθέσεις σε Ελλάδα, Αμερική, Σερβία, μεταξύ των οποίων :2η Biennale Νέων Δημιουργών Ευρωπαϊκών Χωρών της Μεσογείου (Θεσσαλονίκη, 1986), Biennale Νέων στη Μασσαλία (1990), ΧΧΙ Biennale του Sao Paulo (1991) , Belgrade Cultural Centre- 2003 και πάνω από 24 ομαδικές εκθέσεις.Ανάμεσα τους έχει εκπροσωπήσει την Ελλάδα στην "Οpen" στη Βενετία το 2002, στη "©EUROPE EXISTS'' στο Μακεδονικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης το 2004. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε εκπαιδευτικές και πολιτιστικές διαλέξεις , αναφορικά, στην Ακαδημία Καλών Τεχνών του Μονάχου (2004), στο Εθνικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, στην Αθήνα (2000) κ.α.Ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα.

Born in Asmara of Erithrea, South Africa in 1961. She studied at Athens School of Fine Arts (1980-85, painting), while in 1989 she received a Masters in Video Art from the New York University (New York, 1987-89). She awarded fellowships: Public Benefit Foundation "Alexandros S. Onassis" (1987-89), teaching fellowship by the side of Peter Campus in the Video Art department in New York University (1987-89), Research Center for Art and Science founded by the sculptor Takis (1990). Her artwork has been presented at eight personal shows in Greece, U.S.A., Serbia, among others in the Youth Biennale of Mediterranean Countries, (Thessaloniki-Greece, 1986), Youth Biennale of Mediterranean Countries, (Marseille, France 1990), ΧΧΙ Sao Paolo Biennale (Brazil,1991) , in Belgrade Cultural Centre, Serbia on 2003. She has exhibited as well in more than 24 group shows among them Youth Biennale of Mediterranean Countries, Thessalonique, Greece (1986), in Youth Biennale of Mediterranean Countries, Marseille, France(1990), in "Open", representing Greece at Lido-Venice in Italy on 2002, and in ''©EUROPE EXISTS'' representing Greece, Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art on 2004. She has participated in many academic and cultural lectures as at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens on 2000 and at Munich School of Fine Arts on 2004. She lives and works in Athens.

Zoi Pappa

Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1975. 1993-1998 Απόφοιτος του τμήματος Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστήμιου Θεσσαλονίκης. 2000-2002 Μεταπτυχιακό(MFA) στις Καλές Τέχνες του Πανεπιστημίου της Γλασκόβης, στο Glasgow School of Art.. Aνέλαβε τη διοργάνωση και την καλλιτεχνική επιμέλεια των διεθνών εκθέσεων ‘Trauma Queen’ και ‘Who cares about Greek art?’, καθώς και την επιμέλεια του Εικαστικού τμήματος του 6ου Μαραθώνιου Ανακύκλωσης και Δημιούργιας Trash.
